Brunello di Montalcino DOCG "NICCO"

From a selection of the best grapes, 100% Sangiovese Grosso, of a small plot located within the area of Montosoli, one of the most prized of the entire Montalcino district, the Capanna winery, a family-run business, obtains this "cru" by vinifying its noble grapes separately.

The vines, planted on marl soils rich in clay and skeleton, are located on the Montosoli hill at an altitude of about 300 metres.

Harvesting is carried out by hand with careful selection of the bunches, then the grapes are mellowed in stainless steel tanks for alcoholic fermentation, at a controlled temperature, for 20-25 days in contact with the skins.

Once the fermentation process is complete, the wine is transferred into Slavonian oak casks for ageing for at least 48 months, followed by at least a further 12 months of bottle ageing.

Nicco' is a Brunello di Montalcino with a bright garnet red colour: it has persuasive, refined and intense olfactory sensations with aromas of ripe red fruit, cherries in spirit and black cherry, hints of spices, and toasted balsamic aromas.

The taste is rich and harmonious, powerful but well balanced by freshness and a noble tannic texture.
