MADONNA DELLE GRAZIE selection Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

Soil type: sea sand mixed with minerals

Grapes: 100% Sangiovese, with a particular selection of grapes harvested in the historic Marroneto vineyard, located near the little church of Madonna delle Grazie, dating back to 1200, from which it takes its name.

Vinification: this takes place in Allier oak vats, where the must remains completely still for the first 2 days, the temperature rising very slowly to reach 30 degrees after about 5 days.
Fermentation lasts a total of about 16/17 days.

Ageing: ageing takes place in 25 quintal oak barrels for 41 months. During the stay in the large oak casks, the natural aromas are preserved as much as possible, protecting the wine from the aggression of the wood.
It becomes Brunello after 5 years, including the 10 months of bottle ageing.

Impressions: a fruity wine, variable in its aromas, of great impact in the mouth.
It is a wine of great depth, in which the pleasantness of Sangiovese is combined with the complexity typical of great wines. A classic meditation wine.
