Production area: Carmignano (PO)

Exposure and altitude: south - south/west; 200 m a.s.l.

Grape varieties: sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon and canaiolo

Soil composition: clayey schist

Harvest: sangiovese and canaiolo end of September and cabernet first week of October

Vinification: in steel tanks, 7 days of alcoholic fermentation followed by a further 13 days of maceration with the skins before racking, at a temperature of 26/28°C.

Malolactic fermentation: French oak tonneaux

Ageing: 18 months in French tonneaux

Ageing: in bottle for at least 12 months

Colour: intense ruby red

Nose: ripe red fruits, sweet spices, vanilla and liquorice

Taste: balanced and harmonious wine with a delicate tannic texture and a persistent, spicy finish

Gastronomy: goes well with all meats in general and cheeses

Serving recommendations: serve at 18°-19°C.
